I had to ask my friend Fernando about it... he says this plant is an old one thats why the nucleous is this huge...it is also known as cyca revoluta, the male plants have cones

Also known as the Sago palm, Cycas revoluta is also believed to have been the original palm associated with Palm Sunday. Each of the feathery bracts top centre will carry a reddish orange seed about the size of a small marble/malteser. I have a photo somewhere from my Kew days, Will try and locate. Dioon 11
