Our garden pretty much the same Spritz.In fact it didnt thaw all day.

And ours as well !

The part that got the sun did thaw, but the shaded bits were still white as it got dark. More frost expected tonight!

Your garden looks lovely .... I love how frost brings out the "architecture". I notice you've left some of your tall plants for the birds! I leave my echinacea every autumn...it looks "other-worldly" covered with the heavy glistening frost!

Yes, Lori - anything which the birds might feed on is left. Also, the deciduous grasses because they look wonderful frosted. Let's face it - some of the garden would look so flat and boring if everything was cut down! I have been looking with a critical eye over the last two winters to try to put in a few more 'architectural' and evergreen features for more structure. I think it has paid off.

Very nice. I too agree of leaving plants that might still provide food for the birds. Today, I just bought extra birdseed and fat. Our high in the next few days might be your -3 C. I pray for snow.

I hope everyone remembers WATER! I bring out warm water to fill the frozen bird bath. Most normal water resources are frozen during times like this.
