Got to laugh at this one Jacque. Before my cat passed on, she would go into the garden and drink from anything that contained water, rather than her own water bowl Funny creatures aren't they

did you make the wigwam yourself Jac? if so what did you make it with? i am thinking about making a willow wigwam/ti-pi for brooke in place of the playhouse that is now getting a bit small, i have been looking at some kits on the net, and found some good ones, but the thing i am a bit worried about is being willow will it end up inovasive and take over, i only have a small area to do it. so was thinking of using something else that won't root, so that i can grow some nice evergreen climbers up it instead, i know you are good with these sort of DIY projects, what would you recommend, needs to be quite tall sticks approx 6-7ft and plyable so that i can bend it. any ideas?

I didnt make this Wig-Wam Ang But if my children were small again id make 1 from 12ft Garden Canes Pushed in2 the Ground ! Their very strong & u cane train Sweetpeas & even Green Beans up it for cover Ang:) O even tie a Old Bed Sheet :) Then when u want 2 take it down ect itl be EASY :)?

was thinking dried bamboo cains might be the answer, but was hoping to find something that would be a bit more plyable, so that i can make little designs in it, i see a really good design, that looks quite easy to do on this web site i was googling the other day, but it was willow they were using, the other thing i thought of was some sort of Cotinus, but again they root and succer. i might just stick to the bamboo cains would be the safest option, i do want it to be removable at some stage as this area would also make a good spot for a pond, was thinking i could make one later on when Brooke is big enough for this not to be a hazard, and she has grown out of the whole hidi hole thing lol. Thanks Jac x

mmmm...just had a brain wave, i can use bamboo for the main frame and then use the willow to weave in and out, going around , if they are not stuck in the ground they won't be able to root, could do some interesting designs me thinks.....watch this space.....lol
