Grandma Sparkle.

Me, freezing outside "seeing in the New Year (at 8 o'clock) with Sparklers", for my grandson Louis, who was warm and snug inside with poorly Grandad... The things we do to amuse the children!

Nice one Marge, but worth the picture on your grandson's face.

Hi everyone, thanks for comments, my daughter and Louis have had another of their busy socialising weekends, she says he told everyone about Big Bens bongs and Grandma with the Sparklers. It will have been his first day back at Nursery today - I bet they get told the story too, I hope they don't think I kept him up until midnight.

Hello Marge, Happy New Year!

I used to do this on bonfire night when my children were very small and too scared of the noise to be outside with the fireworks!

Hi, a follow up on this photo. Our grandson has always adorded his Grandad, his opinion of me was "silly Gwandma" who can't put his shoes on the right feet, or put a D.V.D., in the machine and set it off.

Since I did a special New Year (Grandad had the flu) at eight o'clock, complete with Big Bens twelve bongs (on the Computor), then went out in the garden to do the Sparklers, he has told everyone he has met about his "Gwandma Sparkle and the bongs".

So it's Gwandma 1, and Gwandad nil

Dear Marge: Thank you for sending me this website. It is so uplifting. I love the photo of you smiling and holding your sparkler. I have always been afraid of them! Only love would make you go out in the cold and cheer up grandad and little Louis. I do hope grandad is better now. Love: Charlotte (jollyweez)

Hi, I am glad you have found your way here. I think you will find lots of friends here. There is just so much activity going on - pictures, poems, stories from all over the world, all sorts of stuff. Love Marge.
