love this....hmmmm...we are into a warming spell. If it continues for a another week or so..we will begining our spring here in the the rain shadow of the Olympic Mts...soon..thank goodness we have short but fierce winters here...more bluster to come but not much in the way of cold...on the other hand eastern Washington will hold onto winter for sometime to come...

Glad it is warming up your neck of the woods CF. I took a walk up to the top of the village heights today, it breaks my heart to see birds literally scratching the earth for something to eat in the frozen ground.

Still covered with snow here. I love to see the frost though. It is always so pretty.

Our birds are getting quite happy here...flying in flocks thorugh the trees..chippering about the variety of things they might find to eat....
.I saw three small flocks of Canadian Geese fly over while I was out feeding the horses...love their voices..and the beat of their wings.....makes me melt...

We use to have a flock of Canadian Geese residing in the local business park large pond but the estate management dispatched them as they fouled the water. Now I have joined the RSPB I will report incidents like this.

Granta Business Park was built without a public enquiry and on agricultural land and have pushed through 2 major expansions. Fostering wild life is not on their agenda CF. They get away with everything because they fall under bio high tech industry and our parish council are rubish.

Gilli - the geese could have been making their way to Pensthorpe - a large Nature Reserve in Norfolk (England).
