Plum tree here. Least sunny spot in garden.
I was thinking, bleeding hearts, hostas. Is that a good idea? If so, how many of each pls?

Astillbe is always nice in the shade too. Lily of the Valley bulbs.
Some Hostas can get very big. How many would depend on which Hostas you bought.

Yes, that would work - how about some evergreen ferns as well? They go well with Hostas. Hellebores flower in these conditions at this time of year - they are wonderful plants and in the Garden Centres at the moment.
