I made this fish years ago and last Spring put it in the garden by the pond and a Wren nested in it , when I walked out in the garden a frosty morning last week I notice a very small plant growing in the scales,its looking quite at home.

That's wonderful. He does look right at home. I love the little plant. Is it a moss of some kind? I would love to have a wren nesting in my yard.

Love your fishy...that bird must have brought you the planlet seeds...nature at work..!!! Have you been able to decide what it is..lichens of a sort maybe?
