There are so many sites on the inet that you are sure to find numerous places... If you want something that will give you success from the very beginning...get a Phalaenopsis..(like this one)... they are very comfortable in the same temperature range as we are...they do ok with the lower humidity that we usually have in our houses. Some say that if you can successfully grow African Violets you can have success with a Phalaenopsis.
When they bloom they have flowers for months...sometimes as long as six months for a bloom spike from start to finish!... I say go for it Janette!

Janette: Wonderful! Hope you find one that's perfect!
Sid: When it stopped blooming the first time I cut the stem off and put it out on the deck...it got the morning sun and was shaded after 11 a.m. ...it stayed out there til autumn...I brought it in and it started a new spike in Feb. or March...and this is what it looked like the following spring!! The flowers last forever...and there were so many! I didn't do much in the way of fertilizer...it just grew!!

Really great flush, sound like the visit outside must have done the trick. I do't think I've the proper summer temps to keep it somfortable. We can slip a little cool too easily.
