when we moved in there were 3 plants in total...neither of whitch a tree..it will take a while for height to establish with my "Scroogy" attitute to expensive 15 years old specimens..but i have time to stand and stare..

I share your gardening philosophy...I hate to spend great amounts on plants, unless I'm really certain they will endure and survive my climate...so often I have adopted or divided or planted from seed...as you say...we have time to stand and stare! lol.

thank you..it's a music to my ears especially while waiiting for winter to pass...cos if the nature can do this in a year... I better roll up those sleeves properly for this one..
in the front-draping vine-Vanessa-pink on to my pergola-recycled sell post signs, Hyperincium in the pot,Luzula silvatica, Mesembryanthemum crystallinumin in the space betw slabs (i had them before but they went on a desapearing act-gd thing i have them from seeds), Apple and Curly willow on left hand side, Tamatix in foreground of the garage, Clematis on top of the garage starts in the next door neighbours garden.
