Parrots resting (roosting?) on their way to the volcano.

I hope you can tell they're parrots and that they're green. My camera didn't get such good pictures. these are wild parrots who live on the volcano - for reasons unknown they migrate every morning towards the coast and in the evening they migrate back to roost on the trees on the city's volcano. These stopped to rest on their way. Much of their habitat has been destroyed, there used to be a stretch of land called "El parque de los pericos" 'The Parrot's Park' that was razed and where three huge shopping malls were built side-by-side...THREE MALLS!! No one needs three huge shopping malls right next to each other...even if I myself have enjoyed some of their stores...so the poor parrots now roost where they can.

Sad story about their land being detroyed. It's happening everywhere. It's too bad that we as humans don't take better care of our planet and it's inhabitants :(

Absolutely, Tasteyq. One of these days we'll find ourselves alone, or the animals will rebel, I don't know which will be first!
