Pretty little things, no one in them thismorning, too cold....brrrr.

There were surfers out there and a few cold souls in canoes, but as me and water don't get on, I'd also rather be in the hut with my coat, scarf, gloves and thermals on this morning.

I like Beach Huts, are they peculiar the Britain or are they international.
I made a beach hut for my garden instead of a shed (hope people don’t know Cambs is landlocked).

What are these used for?

These are positioned only 20 feet from the sand on the beach, they are used (usually during the summer) for people to get changed in, cook some lunch and generally sunbathe outside them on their deckchairs. Quite handy little things. Inside, they are about 8 feet x 6 feet, some people own them, some people just hire them from the owners during the summer. They sell for an exorbitant amount of money due to their location. They can be rented for £100 GBP per week during the summer and £50-£100 GBP off season. There's one for sale at the moment for £134,000 GBP - that's 4 times the cost of my first house was worth back in 1987! Definately one for the rich!

Nice photo. I love Bournemouth.Been many many times but not since 2007. I have a photo of both my boys by some huts like these on the west cliff side at Christmas time 1997 I think. Happy memories!
