My Cycad plant seems a lot happier now being replanted in a bigger pot.

~I have got one of these Linda currently outside wrapped in fleece but the fronds seem much stiffer?what mixture did you use to repot please,?as I need to do it too!

Thank you both.
Arlene I just got my son to fill it up with soil from the garden, I didn't use any mix in this one. I actually never use any mix in any of my pot plants, I just fill it up with soil and put the plant in.

I have been out to check on mine and it doesn't look too bad considering the weather we have had.
Before the weather deteriorated my poor plant blew off the stand I had it on and the pot cracked,so I bought a large ceramic one filled it with peat and put the pot and all into the top of it which gave the poor cycad much better balance and looked much better.
.It has been wrapped up ever since!
When the weather gets warmer it can have it's repot but I think your soil is probably much better than mine ..

Hi Arelene, I think it will grow well in that large ceramc pot now that you've got it replanted there.
Yes the soil here is very easy for planting, but not all of them though, we also have drier areas on the island where its hard to grow plants unless its well taken care of constantly.
