Hi, I don't tend to eat them straight away as they can be watery; so I'd go along with your Grandmother, but we usually have a weeks worth, I've gotten into the habit of dating them now, so the eggs I eat are a few days old, but the yolks are soooo yellow, my girls do a wonderful job.
