No, Raquel I dont fertilize them. Actually when the flower is gone, a new sprout is rising somewhere attached to the plant.You can see the tips of the flower going brown, it means the flower will die in about 2 weeks. By then the sprout is strong enought to survive for its own. I take the sprout of the main stem and relocate it in a new pot.
This new plant will have the next flower.

Oh...I didn't do that. I saw the sprouts though. Do you think mine will flower again? What a bummer.

I'm not sure Raquel, im not an expertise, i do this way, because i was told to.
I sent an e-mail to my friend Fernando from botanical garden asking for information.
What i've seen on nature is the old flower and the leaves goes brown and die, while the new sprout grows till adult.
