no snow here today GF, but we do seem to be having major problems with ice. dublin airport closed again this afternoon

It's been snowing all day - didn't take the 50cc out again today - glad I didn't. The flakes were HUGE and settled into a lovely thick white blanket. The roads were treacherous and the pavements lethal. I walked down the hill at lunchtime in the tyretracks made by the cars on the roads as it seemed safer than the pavement. (I remembered the green-cross code and checked for traffic first, of course!) I wouldn't have gone out if I didn't have to but I was starving and had to get some lunch. When you don't have snow very often it's easy to forget just how slippery and cold it gets. My hands were frozen building that tiny snowman.

oh i can just imagine how cold your hands where.
glad to hear you didnt risk going out on the bike, much an all as i like bikes i dont think this weather is a good idea to go on them .
