Strange, but we had a couple of warm days with rain and it's mostly gone (for the moment!). I couldn't resist getting out there and messing about, even though it's getting colder again. At least I can do a bit of planning!
Still have a large iceberg at the front of the driveway but we get more sun at the back and it wasn't piled up from shovelling so melted quicker.

I like the nice little plants support frames :o)

Yipee now I can look forward to some beautiful gardens now that the snow has gone!! Yes I like those support frames too:-)

Picked up the support frames last year because we thought it would be some interest for the very long, plain fence. I had sweet peas and morning glory on them last year, will probably do the same this year.
It's difficult I find to give a new garden character, only comes with age as the plants mature and the garden has bits added through the years.

They must be lovely when the flowers are in bloom and rambling all over those frames, I love the idea Gillian and looking forward to the results...happy gardening by the way, though may be too early after the snow I suppose:-)

Snow starts again tomorrow! However yesterday the ground had thawed enough in that area that I have now dug out the line that marks the new border. At least I got to get muddy for one day! Won't be able to plant anything out there until May.

Isn't it wild how I live so much farther south than you do and still can't do my majority of planting until May either ! We have had heavy frosts the last two Spring's in a row, the first week of May.

I don't think that is at all fair Flcrzy. You should be able to plant earlier than we do. I would complain to the authorities if I were you. LOL

I certainly do feel like I'm getting ripped off Gilli,...lol, but I'm afraid if I complain too much, the snow gods will be angry with me too, so what's a girl to do?!
