Ants built a nest in the charcoal of this orchid. Just this evening, was trying to drown the ants, the Queen ant, the white eggs .... hope these ants don't come back tomorrow.

Would the nest Harm the Orchid then ? Or just a Nuisance ?

I'm not sure whether the ants harm the orchids directly, but if thousands walk from 1 orchid to the next, walk everywhere, it may spread the mealy bugs from the golden shower to the rest of my orchids. I have mealy bugs in my hibiscus and lantanas, white fly in kankong, lime, sweet potato leaves.
Some orchids are not easy to replace / buy again. Because I don't even know their names / species.
