blooms only for a couple of hours ... what a waste. Wonder what is this plant called?

I wonder whether I can lengthen the blooming duration. If I try a shaded or partial shaded, will it bloom like 1 hour longer ? Gotta try and time it 1 of these days..

Does it get beautiful and unusual transparent, hairy seed heads? I have a photo posted... sorry I'm not sure which page though. If I come across it I'll let you know the page :)

At 12 noon, Its all closed up. First it looks miserable, then it close up.

I have a venice mallow/ hibiscus trionum that looks very similar to this. MIne is also called 'flower of an hour', meaning it only last for an hour or so... yours could be related.
