Orchids

This is such an amazing mass of colour! She obviously loves orchids!

Oh yes, she does. The best thing about orchids is that, unlike some flowers. the blooms last more than a week. Some can last 3 weeks.

I'm a bit envious. I have one poor little orchid and would love to have a great collection like this - but I've always thought of orchid growing as hard going.

I'm envious too. Coz my mother-in-law has heaps and heaps and every week, several will bloom, and the kaleidoscope of colours is dazzling. Some are under the net and some are out in the open (ie, zero shade)

She's 70 years old. That speaks for experience. And every week she fertilise by spraying the orchids with fertilizer.

I shifted to a new place 2 months back, and my orchids are losing its leaves, I'm trying to observe & understand the new environment better. This place is too hot for my orchids. Some foliage turn purple.
