About 6 years ago I was lucky enough to visit Australia and loved seeing these guys who were so cheeky.I guess you get used to them but they struck me as having individual characters, but the farmers don't like them do they?

Hi Chloris. I think you're right - I see many of these wallabies and they do appear to have their own personalities or character. There was one little wallaby hanging around last year that was the naughtiest fellow I've ever seen - he would hop around really quickly and run into the other wallabies just for fun! I had never seen that before. There is a difference between wallabies and kangaroos (mostly their size and especially the size of their hind legs) and it's the kangaroos that the farmers don't particularly like. Large mobs of kangaroos can eat a lot of grass and take the feed away from cattle which, of course, is what drives the farmers mad.

I didn't realise the wallabies were tolerated unlike the kangaroos, they are definitely my favourites! We saw lots of them hopping around this cemetry outside Perth, a total surprise, as we went looking for plants and trees and ended up just watching these little fellows.
