Tulips don't do well in Houston - it's just too hot! and don't last very long, but I have to tip my hat to the River Oaks Garden Club for trying to grow them.

It is! They have to be in cold storage for awhile before they can even be planted. But a part of me thinks it'd be better to leave the poor tulips alone. =)

Obviously someone doesn't mind going to all that trouble - even if they're really not suited to the environment. It does add the WOW factor to the garden though.

It does, I agree. They're a nice surprise. Well, I'm sure the River Oaks Garden Club does its best...and doesn't mind the hard work!
