This time you can see it from the front. I will have to get a bird feeder one day so I can get some closer shots of all the wonderful birds that visit this spot in the bush.

Hi Donnah. At the moment I don't feed any of the birds that come around here but I was thinking about starting - my hubbie thinks they are better off fending for themselves as they are wild birds. Maybe I could put out a bird bath instead of a feeder.

Sometimes you can attract many different birds that might not come to a feeder by providing fresh water on a couple of different levels. Some prefer to have if flush with the ground and some prefer it raised just a little. The noise of dripping or running water will also be a big draw for lots of birds. The big stone or concrete basin on a pedestal is usually not the best way to provide it, some birds are wary of it that far off the ground. Give it a try they can be sooo funny to watch!

Thanks Wohlibuli for your tips - will be on the list of things to do this year. I've just got to pick the right location because the wallabies and bush turkeys would probably scare them away from the front and eastern side of our property which unfortunately are the spaces that can be seen from our verandah.
