a smashing foliage plant for shady places. the flowers are small and green but smell wonderful. remind me of the chilhood sweet floral gums. there is a variety rubra that has more red in the stems and better autumn colours.

I wished I'd known you wanted some, many now end up on the compost bin. If you want the ordinary one let me know and i will send you some.

at last! someone who mentions the perfume of these plants. Bring a few stems indoors and the warmth brings out the scent, wonderful. I have had these plants for a few years and never realised they HAD a perfume. I will make sure in future to bring some indoors.

I am very keen on the scent value of plants as it adds an extra dimension to the plant.
I am always disappointed when a rose or a carnation doesnt smell.

I've got 6 of these on order! I decided on the 'rubra'. I'm glad you told me it's a good plant. :-)
