Daffodil3 + Bergenia

I like these but arent those fading leaves underneath just the most wonderful home for slugs and snails.

The birds (and we have plenty of them) love rootling about in the leaf litter and honestly I haven't seen a sign of a slug or snail, even though we grow lovely juicy hostas. We have made our garden a feeding centre for all the local birdlife and they are certainly earning their keep!
