This seemed to me to be a useful way to re-use your lawn, if you are wanted to remove it. By cutting it into turfs, building them into a semi circular wall (you have to make it wider at the bottom than the top, and include drainage spaces) Then you can grow plants along the top which will drape themselves down the wall, Gourds were one suggestion.
