Has anyone seen my birds? They are staying away in their droves this year.Last year was bad enough but this year there are even fewer.I filled this bird feeder (made it myself out my own head) a week or more ago.In a normal year it would have lasted two days. I usually buy the 7.5 kilo bags of black sunflower seeds about six times a year, but this year I,ve been buying 2kilo bags. There are some ground feeding birds about,ie yer friendly Blackbirds and Robins but hardly any Finches or Bluetits. Can I have them back please.?

I hope the birds come back. You could try puting the feeder somewhere else.

This is only one of about 8 feeders, various types with various seeds Hywel. We've been feeding ever since we moved here 19 years ago,all year round. This is the first year that we have not had dozens at a time on the feeders. Something is up.

That's strange. I wonder why they don't come any more.

The feeders have been in the same parts of the garden for years Sanbaz. We have heard that there fewer sparrows around in Cornwall compared to other years so that may be part of the problem.

Well done on the bird feeder. I hope the birds return to enjoy it.
