If only that would deter me! I'll give you a link, and I've some unfolding banana leaves on pics page 9 in my plot. Its doubled in size since the pic, and I especially love the new leaves. I'm tempted to take a bottom one to fold up a fish for roast....lol..(had that in mexico). I've an arabian jasmine and a geranium sharing the pot with it. Geranium will move, I saw some foxtail fern to put in.

Oh wow I will definitely check out your link...I suppose to live in Alaska you really have to believe "where there's a will there's a way!" =) In El Salvador banana leaves are used to steam tamales...they do that in Mexico too, in the Yucatán peninsula I think.

Ahh, thats where I had the red snapper, yucatan. Really good, minus the unusual olives they through in....lol. :-)
