Pretty little, star-shaped, spring bulbs, the leaves of which seem to smell of garlic

Hi Greenthumb, thanks for taking the time...I don't have any books but I will do an image google These are pretty much the first thing to come out in my garden and they multiply like crazy, although mine are contained in pots. They have long, straight, fleshy leaves and when it rains they look battered and bedraggled, then suddenly perk up again!

Hi Lori....
Yes it does smell of garlic...does that mean its edible? I think it is the leaves rather than the flowers and they don't really give off the aroma, you can only smell it when you touch them ....I do like garlic, but I prefer it in my bolognaise not on my patio!!

Its lovely I searched alliums and didn't find anything quite like this. Star-of-Bethlehem is similar, but no smell. That would be my best guess, though I haven't found a pic with the yellow center. Good luck. Someone will know. :-)
