Mid-March and the magnolia is blooming. The rest of the garden is just starting to show signs of life. I spend a lot of time sitting here. To the right are several roses and jasmine that will hopefully make sitting on this bench a fragrant experience in the summer. Directly ahead is a viburnum that has been moved several times but is at last happy with its lot.
The foot of the garden has suddenly taken shape - I moved several plants from a border that had become overcrowded and it almost looks deliberate!?! I'll update this view through the year to show how it develops. Early Spring and its the magnolia that rules. Later in March yellow tulips bloom through the viburnum, and beyond them a new addition, Ribes Edward 7th gives a burst of scarlet. There are some blue grape hyacinths at the very back on the left.
