I like the rock over your beds! How thick of a layer is it over the soil?

Not very thick as it's on a membrane. The bigger pebbles we have collected over the years from the beaches. Not supposed to!!

LOL! We ALL have collected beach pebbles in our gardens! So if you want to plant another flower you just poke a hole through the membrane? How does the soil get water if there is a membrane over it?

Hi Tammielee, usually you cut a hole through the membrane as it's quite tough, & the membrane is water permeable.
