No, they will love it, Stick em in, and if you like ferns they will love it..

Most grasses should do well here as they seem to like moist shade.
What about a black bamboo, which is non invasive but will grow into a nice clump. It is also evergreen and would form a nice backing for your hosta's and any other plants you decide to put there.

Thanx 4 that Toto :) I have a Young Bamboo which is in a Pot think this will go here along with My Hostas as its not2 happy @ Present :(

I lurve solomon's seal (Polygonatum × hybridum). It arches gracefully so will give you a bit of height, and has lovely bell-like flowers which turn into berries. loves damp soil. looks great with ferns. What more can I say? :-)
