You would think that I planned and planted this by design. Isn't nature a wonderful thing! The white bit is spiraea (I think) creeping from next door's garden and the violets are wild since I never planted any in my garden. Anything I actually planned never look this good.

LOL! you are candid, Redtabby! ...I know exactly what you mean...I have spots in my garden that have come about the same way...and it's a temptation to take credit when I know that it was nature's hand at work and not mine! It really is awe inspiring to see. Your part, like mine, is to recognize the natural beauty and leave it be...lol. I have a bed in my garden that I named "the-do-your-own-thing" bed...It works! I put the plants in the spot and they have arranged themselves very nicely! those which died out were never meant to be there!
