all our own work even the brick work. hubby has his moments!
we had planned on a level one but as we were digging the hole we got about 12" down and hit the chalk bedrock. thats the extent of the house foundations too. so we went up wards. its single brick with a breeze block inner wall. then old blankets were used as a liner felt. then the butyl liner went in and coping stones added on top.
it is very relaxing watching the fish. they were quite active today.

Oh commiserations to hubby our garden on a slope so he ll know just how far down you have to dig ! We inherited an old outhouse below ours thats where all the stone came from - what we saved on stone got spent on butyl liner .. ouch .
