The front garden is full of these. Looking a bit tatty. If they don't produce some nice flowers they will have to go, far too many of them.

These produce one tall thin stem in the middle with some yellow small flowers like a mini gladioli type head. The shrub spreads wider if you pull out the dead black bits. I have put them at the back of the border to give some background, not a wow plant.but it does its own thing. Hope this helps a bit
