clematis ernest markham

I think it is a Clematis. If it is a vine and the centers stay on the vine for a long time after the leaves fall off then that what I tink it is . I have some photos of Clematis check them out and see it the plant looks the same.

thank you both for your comments, it is a clematis as you both said.....i wanted to know which clematis though.....someone suggesred it might be "Rouge Cardinal"?
