Traditional Fish Trap

I know this has nothing to do with gardening, but this is a traditional fish trap woven out of strips of green mangrove roots.

Irish, any small edible fish is caught when they swim into the mid-funnel like part of the trap, once they swim in they can't make their way out again.

BB..you're giving me ideas already...lol, I've also seen this being used as a lampshade in some homes, quite pretty too I must say.

Tg thank you:-)

Thanks Ff, the guy who wove this is hitting his 80's and he's one of the only few people who knows of this traditional art of weaving these fish traps.
