Hi Sandra. They seldom flower until about three years old, possibly older. The first one I grew from seed took about 5 years before flowering, but some of my seedlings have flowered in the third year. I expect it will be quite quick in your much nicer climate.

i dont mind waiting Poaannua. gardening has made me much more patient. i think it is three yearss old this year.

i am turning green again. I lost a lovely fragrant magenta pink one this winter. :o( but i have young P lutea growing from seed. the yellow flower will be better for the place i want it.

I have this but it is very very dark, pic on the way. Nice foliage too.

oh its so lovely i have a little one i was given. not sure what colour it is seed grown and is about twelve inches tall. i wounder how long it will take to flower?
