arum perhaps?

Arum italicum - it grows in the UK as a wild plant, but you've got the garden variety there - can tell by the variegation (white bits) on the leaves. It's not a bush, but a herbaceous perenial that grows from a rhizome (a fat root) under the soil. Don't be alarmed if it dies back to nothing - this is normal - and it will come back again!

Glad you identified this one for Harli. We have this (variegated) growing wild all around and it's been annoying me as to what it is. Many thanks
