Fabulous - mine looks like a lettuce at the moment (may 09) - planted it 2 years ago in the hope I could use them as button holes for my wedding (2007) sadly they popped their clogs 2 weeks before the wedding - no sign of them last year however this year thay have made an appearance we'll see what happens

They would have made unusually nice button-holes Angie...sorry it didnt happen for you....I lifted these this year, about 3 weeks ago and split them up, they are now dotted here and there and are also looking like lettuce....we'll see what happens....

Hey Motinot at last my echinops have started to make an appearance they don't look like lettuce no more it only took 3 months
