Close up of Montana

I had a large plant of this clematis which grew all along my fence, up and over next doors fence, it even took off all along next-doors washing line, the lady living there wouldnt let me cut it back, she liked it so much.......sadly she passed away and i had to cut it hard back before the new neighbours moved in.....I think the cutting may have been too drastic and the plant also died...It was as if she took her clematis with her......
