yes i am pleased one of my better feactures.im a bit enviouse as it looks better than my pond now lol.im going to build the pagoder from the top corner of the brick work and in the v shape thats left im going to make made to measure trellis.this is going to look its best in a couple of years but i still cant weight to see it running.i mite redesign my pond now if my back can stand it..ofcourse ill keep you updated infact im going to do a big blog when its done with tips and obviously how its done.my friend has a wisteria in a pot that can go up one side.im going to make quite chunky trellis with big gaps.the other side i dont know what climer ill bye.maybe find that pink veriaty of wisteria.its going to look good the colour in and around the dark background.maybe my fave a grapevine to grow over the top .the water should come out the bottem mouths at the same rate as i used plumming fittings.

BTW your own pond look fab. nothing wrong with that , youve just got use to it thats all ,,
The colour of wistera would look good as the background to the feature , pink and mauve mingling together would look great ... :o)

dont you think im dying to see it but patience is a virtue especialy if your a gardener.my stain came at last, its darker thab the fence behind.im yhinking of staining the feacture this brick brown but leave the three heads and the bird/dragon beasty grey but let me know what you think .all ideas will be thaught about and answerd ,im very happy the water and that is going to be lovley i think.excuse me for blowing my own trumpet.i have to be a critic to my own work but normaly i get a real rush and get obsorbed into it not being aware of time or company sometimes. i realy like this its my first water feacture made entirely out of cement, blocks, whicken wire, liner etc.my pond was blocks and pottery.i am giving up sculpture so my friend mite be getting my best but last large piece and only piece that looks like that.its realy took it out on my back.i can do small pieces and drawing and pottery as i like the feal of clay.i can make door numbers, names, outside pictures .ill give anything a try and im passionate about my art so dont hesitate to ask about a piece of art and ill tell you what i think.take care bye for now

Re the staining - well you're the expert lol but I was thinking if you stained the background and left the bird beastie grey then you could stand back and see how it looks and if you want to you can stain the bird beastie later if it doesnt look right? I AM impatient! But you must take your time and get it right so you are happy with it ;-) I bet this horrid weather is holding you up too.... Sad that you are giving up large-scale sculpture - your friend is SO lucky! And don't worry about blowing your own trumpet lol it's better than false modesty.

What do you mean when you say 'outside pictures' .... sounds interesting :-)

19 May, 2009

i did egsactly what you said as it goes.great minds hay lol.outside pictures .i make a picture out of pottery and make a cement frame round it.its a new concept i thaught of.havnt done much of it.theres 2 oranutangs on my web site without the concrete frame.infact there what made me think about this idea.so many blank walls with the odd hanging basket and you can move them around if ya want.all you nead to clean them is a bit of bleach in water.this horrid weather is holding me up but the pond has water in it now so not so much of a worry.take care bye for now.
