Not this one. Only my little calypso. When I began looking at prchids, I was always mesmerized by these thick stalked ones in the soil. Similar to my love of loosestrife.

An error in memory.....lol. I do like loosestrife, a tall spiked plant like salvia, but I meant lousewort. We have wooly lousewort here, grows on a central stalk like this but all covered in hair until pink flowers burst through as the heat comes. Google it, I found a bunch of images.

Just wonderful. What a beautiful sight. This is one of my favorite orchid forms, terrestrial with this thick blooming center stalk.
