mmm thought you'd say that Spritz, yes it is a beauty, i have 3 huge flowers on it at the moment.... and a couple more buds to come, not bad for it's first season is it...apprently it re-flowers slightly different colouring during late summer....will be looking forward to that one ;-)

you may laugh Spritz but you will be coverting when you see it. apprently it has this mauvy/pinky tones to it early on in the year and it is more blue in the second flowering...i also have another variety of clematis - can't think of the name off the top of my head, but it flowers first with single blooms, and later in the year with double, it does look like different varieties...well so i am told, i put it in late so missed the first show, but i have it on good authority that it is the case. as i unerstand it this is not uncommon, there are quite a few varieties that flower twice a year, and not completely the same flowers/colours - the one i have is a deep purple one. surely with all your experience with them you will have at least one variety that does this?
