some of the first to flower in the pond but many more to come. a British native that flowers well.

Is it a bit thuggish,Sbg? I'd like to plant some by the stream, and it would need to be tenacious against possible floods.

I've never thought so though it does grow well. The original plant came from a drainage canal and it certainly didnt mind winter flooding. if you'd like some i can send some. its about 3ft tall now but i am sure it would post. or I can send some in the autumn/spring when it has died back.
