Thanks for driving all that way for the photo, it's a beauty! Is it carnivorous? Reminds me of an orchid :)

Definitely it is an orchid, wild growing on dry, poor, limy hills. It´s not to be held in gardens, because it needs some funghi - like many orchids in europe. Without these it dies. It is not a carnivore, but is dependent on special insects, that think it to be a partner. In trying to meet the "partner" they fructify the orchid. There are others of the family, imitating other insects, from which they are named, too. This is the "fly-orphys". It is the smallest, I think.

A lovely orchid, rather venemous color, all the better to draw those insects....lol.
