Me too Louise.....Im waiting for a Pennisetum "rubrum" to arrive in the post....they're my favourites....

Motinot, i too ordered 2 P 'rubra'. From a well known company .... and, they were dead on arrival (i think).
I planted them out when it was warm enough and i thought then that the roots didn't look quite right, i planted them anyway but even now there's not a sign of growth above or below ground. How can you complain/prove to a company that it wasn't YOU who killed it though ? :(
From experience i'll not use mail order very much now.

Hi Louise... i order plants online all the time....if any look a bit iffy (you know what i mean lol)..I ring the company straight away and they have always refunded my money, no questions asked...no problem....that applies to all the online plant companies...Last year i was sent the wrong tulips...i ordered "spring Green" and they sent me "angelique"...i was really disappointed when they flowered which was about six months later, so i phoned them and told them this ...my money was refunded and i got to keep the tulips, i dont really like them, too pale for my taste, but they are in a tub and flowered very well this spring....

Thanks mags, i know what you mean about grass when you were growing up, but today there are so many to choose from and they can really help shape flower borders, i love them too....:>)
