Dichondra is a little-known member of the bindweed family. The attractive plants have rounded, fan-shaped, silver foliage on cascading, silver stems. It is heat and drought tolerant, which makes it an excellent choice for hanging baskets and containers. Plants grow to 1m (3.3ft) long, producing a waterfall-like effect. It prefers light shade to full sun and requires regular to abundant watering.
