What a picture! I saw two big owls in the woods a couple of days ago, they are so cool. Of course I didn't have my camera that day...the day before when there were no owls I had it. They just know... :-)

I had a few chances with this one..the crow and the eagle seemed to have some sort of a territorial battle going on for a couple of days...lol

I think the Eagle is looking at the Crows nest. I'm pretty sure crows nest at the top of pine trees. We have a lot of them here where I live. We have so many crows here in Auburn ,NY, that we have a crow hunt day, where people set out to kill as many crows as possible, because its so overpopulated. Its pretty cruel I think. Crows are a very smart bird. plus they keep the roads clean. They must be here for a reason.

Oh man we get giant murders of crows here..the teenage male crows all hang out like a bunch of hooligans..talkin about their escapades and what they are gonna do next..never would we ever have a crow hunt...cannot imagine it...

Here either, but about 50 years ago the Sportsmens Club in my hometown put a prize on squirrels and other animals for kids to hunt. That's why the blue flying squirrels are nearly extinct. You wonder what people are thinking. Sick.
We have more ravens than usual this year. Lot's of cawing and flapping going on. "Who's that tap tap tapping at my chamber door?"
They are smart and entertaining to watch.

Used to have a bounty on coyotes here...we still have lots of coyotes..must have been more strict on the amount shot.

Farmers are still shooting coyotes here, to protect calves and lambs.

Yup..the farmers do get that right to protect their livestock most everywhere I think.
