mine get black spot all the time too Jac, it is just a case of keeping on top of it, removing any infected leaves/buds and spraying constantly, if you are relentless you will win in the end. i have lost one of my roses to a virus this year too :-( still this one is lovely and i am very pleased with it. Thanks all x
