thank you, and Holly, have you checked for greenfly? they love this plant and are rife this time of year, will cause browning on the new growth and leaf curl....they don't mind semi shade, mine only gets sun in the morning. hope this helps

i bet it is greenfly Holly, this one is in quite a damp spot..does'nt seem to mind it too much....after all it's distant cousin the weeping willow, does grow on riversides naturally, so i don't think damp would be the problem...also if you do find a green/black fly problem you know you can just remove all the new tips that are damaged as this will encourage more pinkish new growth...these actually like to be cut back little and often...just like box trees :-)

I do like these. Must look and see if I can find a little space...somewhere...

it would be rude not to Spritz, i find that they do fit in quite nice with the cottage theme if you let them scruff up a bit.... does that make sense?...in other words i don't prune mine too much like a lolly pop, although i guess that could work in the right spot.

Haha - if you can find a space for one, than I'll plant it, Angie!
Hmmm...Thinks... Does it prefer shade or sun?

bit of both.... and if you get a standard one you can plant low growing stuff around the base so wont need much room :-)
